Description
This manuscript map is bounded on the north and east by the River Doon. On the south, the map includes parts of the catchments of the Water of Assel and the River Stinchar. The map centres on the Water of Girvan, which is shown in its entirety. The map overlaps Blaeu's CARRICTA Meridionalis in the south, but the content of the two maps in the area of overlap is not identical. Several castles appear prominently along the valley of the Water of Girvan. The map was compiled from observation on the ground by Timothy Pont in the last two decades of the sixteenth century. It was engraved in Amsterdam, for publication in Blaeu's Atlas Novus, first published in 1654.

Description
The map shows south Ayrshire, as far north as the Water of Girvan and the Carrick Forest. Part of the catchment of the Water of Minnoch is also included, but most of the surface area of the map depicts the catchment of the River Stinchar and its tributaries. The estuary of the River Stinchar is prominent, as is Ardstinchar Castle, near Ballantrae. Any exaggeration of individual features is indicative of their significance in the eyes of the compiler. The map was compiled from observation on the ground by Timothy Pont in the last two decades of the sixteenth century. It was engraved in Amsterdam, for publication in Blaeu's Atlas Novus, first published in 1654.

Description
The map covers the county of Caithness together with a very small part of eastern Sutherland. West is at the top to enable all of Caithness to be fitted on to a rectangular page. The extent of surface water as shown on the map is exaggerated, as tended to happen during copying from manuscript draft to engraving. The neat plan of Wick is in contrast to Thurso, where the engraver is constrained by his depiction of the coastline. The map was compiled from observation on the ground by Timothy Pont, in the last two decades of the sixteenth century. It was engraved in Amsterdam, for publication in Blaeu's Atlas Novus, first published in 1654.

Description
The map covers the north of Ayrshire, bounded by the River Irvine in the south, and in the north by the watershed which is the boundary with Renfrewshire. The map shows that this part of Ayrshire was very densely settled, something confirmed in a separate topographic description of Cunningham also compiled by Pont and which survives in transcript. The map was compiled from observation on the ground by Timothy Pont, in the last two decades of the sixteenth century. It was engraved in Amsterdam, for publication in Blaeu's Atlas Novus, first published in 1654.
