Description
This petition concerns a dispute between Thomas Buchan of Cairnbulg and Charles Fraser of Inveralochy regarding a Moss (which Fraser calls the Moss of Inveralochy, and Buchan calls the Moss of Cairnbulg), particularly in respect of the right to cut peat from the Moss. Fraser appeals to be allowed to 'make out a Plan of the said Moss; for though the Pursuer [i.e. Buchan] has made out a Scrape of a Plan, which to me appears not easily to be understood ... I hope your Lordships will therefore have no regard to it, but allow both of us to make Plans by your Authority that may be of use for Explication of the Proof; ... because of the Marches of the Links settled by the Interlocutor, which will not be easily understood without a Plan, ...' (p.5). The related plan is image 00002472. There is another, presumably related plan of the Moss, image 00002118.

Description
Although undated and unsigned, this appears to be one of Andrew Frazer's maps. It shows the Moray Firth as it passes Ardersier Point to the south and Chanonry point to the north. Fort George is marked on Ardersier Point, and the towns of Fortrose and Rosemarkie on the Chanonry Point side of the Firth. The object of the map is to show the tides and water depths in the channel in front of Fort George. Andrew Frazer was working at Fort George, Ardersier between 1781 and 1786, at times being contemporary with Charles Shipley, who worked with him on the pier. Frazer also worked at Fort Charlotte, Shetland, Leith Battery and Corgarff Castle. Other plans of Frazer's from Fort George, Ardersier, are in images 00002769 (copy in image 00003228), 00002872 and 00002873 (copies in images 00003230 and 00003231) and 00003227. His plans of Fort Charlotte, Leith Battery and Corgarff Castle are also in this collection.

Description
This sheet shows part of Fort George, Ardersier, specifically the Prince of Wales' bastion and Prince William Henry's bastion, with the route of the road to the ferry, and the proposed new route. It also has a section across the cut which will be needed through part of the defences to route the road, and a section across the walls for the cut. It is unsigned and undated, but seems to be Andrew Frazer's work, and is probably from around 1785. Andrew Frazer was working at Fort George, Ardersier between 1781 and 1786, at times being contemporary with Charles Shipley, who worked with him on the pier. Frazer also worked at Fort Charlotte, Shetland, Leith Battery and Corgarff Castle. Description
This is a coloured copy of the right side of the plan in image 00002872, with a scale bar added to the scale statement, so it is either the contemporary finished version, or a later copy. It shows Andrew Frazer's plans for improving the pier at Fort George, Ardersier, with elevation and section. Frazer's plans for the pier were, in his absence, altered in the construction stage by a Major Marr, which was to cause some problems for Charles Shipley two years later, as is mentioned on Shipley's plan in image 00003226.

Description
This is an undated and unsigned sketch of the pier at Fort George, Ardersier, with the fort and surrounding area. It can certainly be dated to after 1756 by the presence of Prince William Henry's Bastion, and from the style, and its relation to other plans, is probably one of Andrew Frazer's plans from 1785. There is a copy of the left hand portion of this in image 00003230, and the right hand portion in image 00003231. Frazer's plans for the pier were, in his absence, altered in the construction stage by a Major Marr, which was to cause some problems for Charles Shipley two years later, as is mentioned on his plan in image 00003226.

Description
This sheet shows a sketch map of the land around Ardersier, including the Moray Firth, and Fort George. It is signed in ink by 'A. Frazer 1785', but the title was added at a later date in pencil. There is a copy of this, also by Andrew Frazer at about the same time, in image 00003228. Andrew Frazer was working at Fort George, Ardersier between 1781 and 1786, at times being contemporary with Charles Shipley, who worked with him on the pier. Frazer also worked at Fort Charlotte, Shetland, Leith Battery and Corgarff Castle. Description
This fine manuscript depicting St. Andrews is a birds eye view plan; the buildings are shown in perspective rather than from directly above as expected in modern town plans. It is attributed to John Geddy because the hand writing matches a treatise by him held by St. Andrews University Library. The plan was drawn sometime in the early 1580s, possibly influenced by a plan of Edinburgh produced in 1582 by Braun and Hogenburg. The complete cathedral and priory had suggested an earlier date to scholars, but there is no evidence that they were destroyed during the Reformation as had been previously thought, so the later date is now likely. The scale condenses towards the west as Geddy began to run out of space on the paper.
