Description:
Elaborate title page: a naked man and a skeleton hold up a sheet on which the book's title and author are inscribed. Above them two cherubs blow bubbles beside a tulip and below them five men look out at the reader, a female cadaver laid before them. These men are clearly portraits and, although it is unclear who they may be, Vesalius could be the central figure.
