Description: 
Dissection of a man's rib cage, with a dissection of the lungs and separate figures of the heart and lungs. This plate is made up from two copper plates bolted together. It is a reprint of a plate made for the Bauman Anatomia Deudsch of 1551 (it copies Geminus 1545). This is a composite plate that ultimately derives from pages 559, 560, 561, 562, 563, 564, 565, 566, 567 and 568 of Vesalius 1543. .
