Description:
1, 2: Dissection of the female abdomen, displaying the reproductive system. 3, 4: Uterus with bladder turned aside (III) & uterus with ovaries (IIII). 5,6,7,8: Details of the placenta . 9: Vagina & uterus (see note on original in record 378; Vesalius 1543, p. 481 ). It is a reprint of a plate made for the Bauman Anatomia Deudsch of 1551 (it copies Geminus 1545). This is a composite plate that ultimately derives from pages 477, 478, 480, 481, and 482, of Vesalius 1543.
