Description:
|
The first figure is of the base of the brain, the second figure is a side view of the brain with the spinal cord. Also shown is a detail of the relations of the aortic arch and trachea and of the spinal cord. It is a reprint of a plate made for the Bauman Anatomia Deudsch of 1551 (it copies Geminus 1545). This is a composite plate that ultimately derives from pages 418, 419, 428 and 431 of Vesalius 1543.
