Description:
|
In the seventh table of muscles the rope from which the cadaver was suspended while being drawn has been lowered. The cadaver therefore leans backwards slightly, enough to show the diaphragm which you can see depicted hung on the wall in the upper right of the figure. This plate is derived from page 190 of Vesalius 1543. It is a later state of the plate in Geminus 1552, ai0052.
