Description:
In this table, the torso of a man is shown with his guts spilling out, the other figures show details of the stomach and spleen. This is a composite plate that ultimately derives from pages 465, 467, 468 and 469 of Vesalius 1543. The half - length man of figure XI is a reinvention of the Vesalian equivalent on page 465. There is some relationship with the equivalent plate in Geminus (leaf inserted after H.I). (See Valverde 1559:ai0027, the plate is the same but selectively refreshed).
