A Pregnant woman. The small elements (XXXI-XXXIIII) are ultimately derived from page 482 of Vesalius 1543 . The standing figure of a woman with her abdomen exposed, appears not to have a direct source in Vesalius; nor does she appear in Geminus. However, there does appear to be some relationship with the torso on page 477 of Vesalius 1543. (See Roberts and Tomlinson, The Fabric of the Body. Oxford, 1992, p. 218.) (See Valverde 1559:ai0030, the plate is the same but selectively refreshed).
