View of standing man from the back, progressive dissection. This plate is ultimately derived from page 203 of Vesalius 1543. Note that there is a clear relationship with the equivalent plate (plate inserted after D.v) in Geminus 1552. Note in particular the treatment of the ground and the plant. (See Valverde 1559:ai0020, the plate is the same but selectively refreshed).
