Description:

View from the back, of human muscular system, with select muscles splayed to show detail. This plate is ultimately derived from page 197 of Vesalius 1543. The figure is reversed except for the head and there are certain changes to the configuration of the body, e.g. the scalp and the raised hand. There are traces of erased lettering on the lower left. (See Valverde 1559:ai0018, the plate is the same but selectively refreshed).
