Description:
|
In this plate, the head reclines on the left ear, the amorphous mass is the remnant of the brain and brain stem. Its amorphous appearance emphasises the difficulties of dissection in the sixteenth century dissection due to lack of fixatives. This difficulty was particulary acute in the case of the brain.
