View of skeletal and muscular systems from the back, with no arms or shoulders.This plate is derived from page 208 of Vesalius 1543, in reverse. In the Valverde plate, the plinth that the figure kneels on in the Vesalius plate has been removed, making his kneeling position illogical. Note the different treatment of the scull and the calf, and foot fragment in the foreground of both plates.
