The title page carries the address the partners Antonio Salamanca and Antonio Lafreri, and the date 1559. This is an Italian translation of the Spanish original, which was published in Rome in 1556. The base of the architectural structure on the title page are representations (left to right) of an anatomist investigating the structure of a skeleton, a dissection of a male cadaver, and a dissection of a female cadaver.
