Description:
The ninth figure illustrates the pelvic colon and the rectum. The tenth figure follows the sixth in the sequence of dissection. The eleventh figure shows the mesentry (peritoneal attachments to the colon and small intestine except the transverse mesocolon). These figures ultimately derive from pages 462, 463 and 464 of Vesalius 1543.
