Description:
In figure 5 the posterior layers of the greater omentum and transverse mescolon have been exposed by the removal of the anterior portion of the omentum. The sixth figure follows the third in the sequence of dissection and shows the liver, stomach and intestines. These figures ultimately derive from pages 459 (omitted from the Edinburgh copy) and 460 of Vesalius 1543.
