Description:
This map of the estate of Templand is roughly drawn in brown ink, with graphite shading. The lands of Templand lay between the River Ythan and the lands of Hatton House, owned by the Duff family, outside Kirkton of Auchterless. It marks the 'Ython Water', 'Icans cairn' and the Minister's land. It also marks four farm cottages, with notes beside them that may be the names of the inhabitants - 'Cushok water murray gairns'. At the top of the map is the note 'Mr. Duffs land'. There are annotations on the condition of specific areas of ground, and two roads are noted.
