Description:
|
This map shows Louis Petit's scheme to build a fort at Perth, as a consequence of the town having been taken by the armies of James Francis Edward Stuart, early in the 1715 rising, and held by them until the end of the rising. The plan for the new fort was never put into action. The map also shows the site of the seventeenth century Crowmellian fort (Perth then being called St. Johnston's).
