This sheet of sections accompanies Lewis Marcell's plan at shelfmark MS.1647.Z.02/83a, for a fort to replace the Fort George which had been on the Inverness Castle site, and was destroyed by the army of Prince Charles Edward Stuart in 1746, just before Culloden.
