This is a copy of the plan at shelfmark MS.1647.Z.02/78a, which shows the town of Inverness, with the River Ness, and includes the settlements on the west bank of the river. It also shows the seventeenth century Cromwellian fort, known as Oliver's Fort. All three plans originated with Louis Petit, but are undated. However, they have been estimated as being about 1712.
