This is a copy of the plan at shelfmark MS.1647.Z.02/65a, which was done by William Skinner, in 1747. It has three sections. The top part contains a plan of Fort Augustus, showing the extent of the damage after the attack by the army of Charles Edward Stuart, in 1746, the middle part contains a profile of a proposed defensive fosse, and the bottom part contains the title and 'Explanation.
