This is 'No. 4' of the sheets of sections and elevations accompanying the plan at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/45a, which details the progress of the building work at Fort George, Ardersier, by 1752 This sheet has three parts, one showing a plan of the bridge and gateway to the ravelin, and one showing a section of the same, and one showing an elevation through the front of the gate. It was drawn by Charles Tarrant and was signed by William Skinner. There are four other sheets of sections of which 'No. 2' is at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/47b, 'No. 3' at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/47a, 'No. 5' at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/46a, and an un-numbered sheet relating to lines 9.10, 11.12 and 13.14 at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/45c (with a copy at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/45d). There is a copy of the plan at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/45b.
