Description:
|
The sheet is the copy of the plan for the new Fort George at Ardersier Point, at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/39a. That plan was attributed to William Skinner, although neither he nor Charles Tarrant, his usual surveying partner and draughtsman, signed it. Certainly the actual design is Skinner's. When, where and by whom this copy, or indeed the plan at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/39a were actually drawn, is not certain.
