Description: 
This is a 19th century copy of Charles Tarrant's original 1750 plan (the original having also been signed by William Skinner) which is at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/36a. This copy was done by G.D. Burr in 1808. It shows the same detail of the destruction caused to Fort George, Inverness, by the Jacobite army in 1746, when they mined the fort, on their return north, shortly before Culloden. A sheet of sections to accompany the original plan is at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/37a, with a copy at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/37b.
