The left hand section shows a sketch plan of Fort William, the middle section shows a sketch plan of Fort Augustus, and the right hand section shows a sketch plan of Fort George, Inverness. It is undated and unsigned, but the 'Board of Ordnance Register of Plans 1700-1800' lists it as being from John Romer in 1730, drawn by Leonard Jackson.
