Description:
|
This is a copy of the plan at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/23a. That plan derived from an original by Theodore Dury, (at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/16b), with ammendments by Talbot Edwards. This plan is unsigned and undated, but was probably copied in the Tower of London Drawing Room. There is another copy at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/23b, done in the Drawing Room, in 1795, by John Beaumont. The sheet has three panels, of which the middle panel is blank, the right hand side panel contains the plan of the whole of Stirling Castle, with some of the surrounding country, and the left hand side panel contains a 'Profile of Elphinstons Tower and French Spur'.
