Description:
|
One of a set of four unsigned plans of Stirling Castle, copied in 1741 from Andrew Jelfe's and Thomas Moore's 1719 plans (on images 00002679, 00002680, 00002681 and 0002682). The other three are on images 00002705, 00002706 and 00002707. This one is also undated, but it is obviously part of the same 1741 set. This sheet shows the Chapel, the main guardhouse, new guardhouse and gunners' guardhouse, new barracks, gunners' storerooms, powder house and brewhouse, with elevations.
