This sheet shows a plan and elevations of the storehouse built in Edinburgh Castle, in 1753. A note at the bottom of the plan records its receipt at the Board of Ordnance with a letter from William Skinner on 4 December, 1753. Another plan (at shelfmark MS.1646.Z.02/48a) showing progress on Fort George, Ardersier, in 1753, was sent with the same letter. The plan at shelfmark MS.1645.Z.02/13b, 'General plan sections and elevations of the powder magazine and storehouses built in Edinburgh Castle ano: 1753 & 1754', may be an update of this Edinburgh plan by William Skinner, but it is unsigned.
