This is the fifth in a set of five plans of Edinburgh Castle, drawn up in 1719 by the architect Andrews Jelfe and the draughtsman Thomas Moore, the others being on images 00002654, 00002655, 00002656 and 00002657. This plan and its companions have been signed by Moore. This sheet shows plans of the officers' apartments and guard room, the gunners' room and storehouse, various guard houses, the Governor's stables and coach house, the chapel, vaults, storerooms, ovens and the storekeeper's house, on all floors of the castle.
