This is the fourth in a set of five plans of Edinburgh Castle, drawn up in 1719 by the architect Andrews Jelfe and the draughtsman Thomas Moore, the others being on images 00002654, 00002655, 00002656 and 00002658. This plan and its companions have been signed by Moore. This sheet shows plans of the apartments for the King, captains, majors, lieutenants and ministers, mainly on the 2nd., 3rd. and 4th. floors. Most of the sheet is drawn in ink, but there are some pencil additions. A Union Flag has been drawn as attached to one of the turrets on one of the 4th. floor elevations.
