Description:
This plan, dated 1740, was surveyed by John Wilson for a case concerning a boundary dispute. The plan shows an area near Glenbuck Loch, near Douglas. There is a marginal key to a number of topographical landmarks such as a large area of bog, individual hills and a road. A note says that the march boundary claimed by Gilmilnscroft is marked in yellow and that of Douglas in blue. Only the yellow line appears to be marked on this plan. Legal papers giving the Commissioner's verdict as to the true boundary, together with another plan of the boundaries, survive in the processes.
