Description:
A small scale map of the Central Lowlands, stretching from Gare Loch in the west to Dundee in the east. The coverage in any detail is erratic, giving the appearance of an unfinished map, but there is notable detail in the islands of Loch Lomond, Strathblane, the north shore of the Clyde and the south coast of Fife. The map was compiled by Robert Gordon of Straloch (1580-1661), at an unknown date after 1633. The main source of the compilation is likely to be the observations of Timothy Pont, in the last two decades of the sixteenth century
