Description:
An incomplete map of a part of the Angus Glens compiled by Robert Gordon of Straloch (1580-1661), at an unknown date after 1633. The courses of the Noran Water and West Water are shown without further detail, but with some of the settlement and woodland detail of Glen Esk, from Mount Keen as far south as Edzell. Loch Muick and Cairn o' Mount are located on the periphery. The main source of the compilation is likely to be the observations of Timothy Pont, in the last two decades of the sixteenth century.
